August and September

Hello Friend and family!
Greetings from Lima, Peru!

I am so excited to tell you what I have been doing in the past months. I am so sorry for not writing you sooner, life here in Lima is quite busy.
At the end of August, we (YWAM Lima) organized our first youth missionary retreat called MATERIA PRIMA, PORQUE LOS PERUANOS SOMOS CALIDAD DE EXPORTACION (RAW MATERIAL, BECAUSE PERUVIANS ARE EXPORT QUALITY). We believe that is the time for Peruvians to go and bless the nations. We have been so blessed through other nations, and we are sure that is our time to bless them as well.
Our main goal was to let them know that each of them has a specific calling to serve God either doing missions full time or within their job or school. We believe in them and in the great calling that God has place on them. We had two days of training and ministry to them and one day of doing street evangelism.

For me, Materia Prima has meant a lot, one of my biggest dreams has come true. It is a retreat from Peruvians to Peruvians. I feel like this is my little baby because I am en charge of organizing it, and God has blessed me with a wonderful team who has been helping to make it possible. Without them, it wouldn´t come true.
I know this is just the beginning of many great things that God will do in Lima and all over Peru. I am so grateful of having you as my partners in this and thank you so much for investing and believing in me and my people. It encourages me to keep moving forward for bigger things in Lima.

September has been a crazy month as well. Besides, organizing Materia Prima, I am en charge of connecting YWAM teams with local churches in Lima and this month we had lots of teams coming from all over the world. So, I have been very busy making phone calls, getting in contacts with pastors and even host teams in my house. But it has been so great to help the big YWAM family.

Now, I am planning and working on having Materia Prima in the summer for 2 weeks. I am sad to tell you that we are not going to have Joshua Generation Peru because we want to consolidate and grow our ministry in Lima. So, YWAM Pittsburgh decided not to come this year and release us to work in Lima. We feel that the time has come for YWAM Lima to grow and have our own program design from Peruvians to Peruvians. I feel like Materia Prima is the fruit of JG, it has been born from all those year of doing JG Peru.

So, thank you one more time for standing with me with your prayers and financial support to see more young Peruvians fulfilling great things for the Lord.

Anita Ausejo.
